I was brought up with dogs and owned a Welsh Corgi as a small girl. A close relative bred and exhibited Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Cocker Spaniels so dogs were a part of growing up. I also bred and showed Cavies (Guinea Pigs) so I was always at home with animals. Today we have our own show dogs and of course many "guests".

At Hazel Corner we treat every guest as though they were are own dogs and take great care to provide a warm, loving environment. We have many guests who we've seen grow from a small puppy, mature into adulthood and then become a “veteran”. We get to know these dogs well and in turn we hope they, and all our guests, enjoy their holidays with us.

We're fortunate that we’re set in seven acres of lovely Hertfordshire countryside surrounded by bridle paths and mature oaks. In the warm summer months our guests can enjoy lying on their patio well into the evening. In winter they can snuggle up to a warm radiator or lie on a tiled floor heated from underneath.

We strive to maintain the highest standards possible and each year invest in improvements for our guests. We now have some new spacious apartments, specifically designed for families to share or for a single dog to laze in luxury. We plan this year to introduce optional TVs, nature walks and gourmet dinners.

We've made Hazel Corner our home for the last seventeen years, we’ve had Gordon Setters now for over twenty five years, we’ve made improvements to the house and grounds as well, and there always seems to be more to do.
