Directions to Hazel Corner

Hazel Corner Dog Hotel is set in seven acres and is located just outside of Markyate village off the A5. We are also only a few minutes from junction 9 of the M1.

We are in easy reach of several major towns and cities including Luton, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Tring, Berhampstead, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead, St. Albans and Watford.

With our location close to junction 9, M1 we can also be reached quickly from Kings Langley, Watford and North London.

Directions with SatNav

Postcode AL3 8LP covers four properties spread over a half-mile or so. There is a sign outside our entrance to help you locate us.

If travelling from the north some SatNav systems may direct you from junction 10 off the M1. In this case travel through Slip End village to the A5 rather than use the small country lanes.

It’s easier and quicker though to use junction 9 and then the A5.

Location

We are located just outside the historic village of Markyate. Windmill Road is a small country lane. The turning off the A5 is located at the base of a pedestrian footbridge. Whether you are travelling north or south along the A5 turn the opposite way to the village.

We are located approximately half a mile along this country lane with our entrance on the right hand side.

Whilst Windmill Road can be accessed from the opposite direction this involves a significant distance along some very narrow country lanes and is best avoided.

Note: We are on the very edge of St. Albans postal district and are not located close to St. Albans city centre.
